2nd Annual Relay for Life at Belchertown High School: Friday, June 28 into Saturday, June 29

 

09 Line is back! Due to the success of last year’s Relay, we would like to bring back the 09 Line to raise money for this year’s Relay. We would love to have more members of class be involved, and to raise more money than we did last year!

 

The Relay is a 24 hour fundraising event, in which team members take turns walking the track. Prior to the Relay, team members raise funds which go towards the team total.

 

To learn more about this awesome event, or if you would like to be more involved than simply joining the team, please see Julia, Sarah, Tim or Mel. Also, please come to the Relay Kick Off Party on February 24, 2008 at Club 21 at 2pm. (You  need to RSVP for this event…so let us know if you plan to attend.) Also consider dressing up for the Hollywood theme!

 

New things for this year’s Relay….

 

Raffle Tickets

This year, the Relay is hosting a HUGE raffle….prizes include tickets to Disney World, Six Flags, the Wycoff Golf range, Tower Theatre, a tour of NBC, a Desperate Housewives package,  and many more! In addition to asking for donations, you can sell these raffle tickets to family and friends. They will be $1 a ticket or 12 tickets for $10. All raffles will be drawn on the morning of June 28 before the Closing Ceremony…you do not have to be present at the Relay to win! Selling tickets is an easy way to  raise more money for the Relay as an alternative to asking for donations. (Last year’s 09 members…remember the Red Sox raffle tickets? This is the same idea)

 

Hollywood Theme!

There will be a red carpet and limo for Survivors….Hollywood Themed Decorations…a Movie Tent…and many other awesome things! We will decorate the tents following the theme as well!

 

Team Raffle Baskets

Each team is responsible for creating a raffle basket to be displayed at the Relay…people will buy raffle tickets and put them in cans in front of each basket. Money raised will go to our Team’s total! Winners of this raffle will also be drawn at the Relay.
