We are committed to ensuring that every child meets with success every day through rigorous curriculum design and high-quality instruction and assessment of learning to ensure that success, in a school environment that promotes respect and civility for all members of our learning community. See the Belchertown Public Schools Informational Brochure for more information about our district.

About Our Schools

Our school district is comprised of five schools: Cold Spring School (PK & K), Swift River Elementary School (grades 1-3), Chestnut Hill Community School (grades 4-6), Jabish Brook Middle School (grades 7-8), and Belchertown High School (grades 9-12). Approximately 2600 students attend our schools. We have much of which to be proud and continue to move forward in our quest to ensure our students are adequately prepared for the challenges of the twenty-first century and ready for college and career.

Whether you are looking for school lunch menus, checking your student's grades, or looking for the absentee call-in phone number for a particular school, you'll find it here.  If you have questions and you don't find answers here, please contact us.

Superintendent's Messages

By way of introduction, I am Dr. Robert F. Gazda, your Interim Superintendent of Schools. I have been “on-board” since July 1, 2014 and anticipate serving the needs of your students until December 31, 2014. In my relatively short tenure as Interim Superintendent, I hope to create a sustainable focus for this office. A focus which provides encouragement, support and resources for the educators charged with the responsibility of assisting your children in this process we call education.
